Unlike many other lacquer removers, Amera's Nail Lacquer Remover and Cleanser is based on ethyl acetate rather than acetone. Ethyl acetate occurs naturally in many fruits and is one result of fermentation. While ethyl acetate is an effective lacquer solvent, it is not nearly as drying to the natural nail fibers and skin as acetone.

Amera's Tri-Color Nail Buffer is designed to polish the nail surface and nail edges without damaging the nail plate. While it looks similar to ordinary buffers, it is far superior in quality. The Amera Tri-Color Buffer uses three different aluminum oxide structures in a latex base to achieve a graded polishing system to smooth away nail ridges while sealing the nail plate and giving the nails a healthy shine. Furthermore, this Tri-Color Buffer is much less likely to cause nail damage when used properly.
